To fundamentally improve the quality of training professionals in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors of Uzbekistan, strict new admission rules have been introduced:

  1. New Minimum Passing Score: Starting from the 2027/2028 academic year, the minimum passing score for admission to undergraduate medical and pharmaceutical fields is set at 60% of the maximum possible score—which equals 113.4 points.
  2. Ban on Super-Contract: One of the most significant rules is that applicants who score below this established minimum threshold will not be accepted for admission even under super-contract terms.
  3. Objective and Significance: This reform aims to ensure that only the most capable and knowledgeable students enter the medical profession, ultimately raising the standard of healthcare education and future practitioners.
