Graduated from Bursa Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi in 1980. 1983–1987 specialization at the Department of Urology, Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi. In 1988, training in kidney transplantation and urology at Cleveland Clinic hospital. In 1990, associate professor, in 1995, professor. 2001–2011 Head of the Department of Urology, Uludağ Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi. Member of Türk Üroloji Derneği, Organ Nakli Kuruluşları Koordinasyon Derneği, Avrupa Üroloji Derneği and Dünya Endoüroloji Derneği.
